THE "58 SKI" Polar converted Modulus.

Geoff Somers in training prior to his successful 1700km Antarctic crossing. Only 100km were manhauled (crevasse areas), 1600km were sailed using his "58 SKI". This includes successfully sailing across large sastrugi fields (wind blown ice waves), previously thought impossible. Now made possible by MODULUS ability to provide controllable "perfect power".

This is a MODULUS that is especially prepared for cross country ski traction and expeditions. Made from K42 ripstop with durable shock absorbing polyester bridle. The canopy has extra re-enforcement to make it a very rugged and durable canopy which is ideal for strong winds and rough handling.

The main units are all K42 ripstop. The units sizes varies, but the main units are 1.0 x 1.0 sq metre. It offers the range of MODULUS from 1 sq metre to 5.8 sq metres in 14 steps. This is important if its intended use is for travelling, where maximum flexibility is required.

The "58 SKI"comes complete and ready to use. The lines are already prepared, equalized and connected. Included is a light unpadded waist/bum harness with stainless steel hook, "deadmans" and spares . The canopy is packed at 2.8 sq metres in a COMPRESSION POD.
